Retro Fair – Great day out!
The Jukebox and Retro Fair was held in Brighton last weekend for its 10th year. Four halls full of terrific retro memorabilia. A great day out for many from the club mixing with likeminded people interested in Jukeboxes, vintage clothing, retro novelties and basically all that’s retro. It’s an indoor event saving you from the April showers so no need to get cold and wet. There were some great Jukeboxes on sale ranging from retro 1940s/50s with vinyl to up-to-date CD/mp3 jukeboxes. Plenty of stalls to browse around and a retro vintage tea room for a bite to eat.
Dancing – Live Music – All day
Dancing all day in the bar area with a small portable floor and plenty of carpet. If you needed a fix of dancing the bands kept the dance floor busy all day with the resident band Greggi G and his crazy gang supported by The Firetones and The TT’s, DJ on the day Rockin’ Rebel music machine for all your retro sounds. A great place to meet up with friends old and new, and refresh yourself with old acquaintances made over many years. Brighton Jive provided the dancers and an excellent time was had by all.
Next Retro Fair – Chessington – November 2014
The next Jukebox and Retro fair is on 1st and 2nd of November at Chessington Community College, Chessington Surrey 10.00 am to 5.00 pm – so a little nearer to home for some of our members. Tickets available on the door so no need to book in advance; it will be the same format as Brighton so should be a great day out for all.
Surrey’s No.1 Retro Fair – Retro at it’s best.
