Vintage Dancing at the Southend Festival in conjunction with Bobby Girls Vintage arranged a vintage fair in Warrior Square Park for the Vintage on Sea spectacular. The event kicked off around 10.30 once all the stalls had set up. There was a wide variety of clothes and vintage memorabilia and household items. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day, Mr Dickie Bows started the entertainment at 11.30 giving a demonstration of swing jive, 50s style Rock n Roll, collegiate shag, shim sham and the stroll. This is a local group made up of people who attend regular local classes. Some of the dancers were performing for the first time many learning of them having learnt from scratch to give a great day of entertainment. Cherry Morello followed the dancing with a selection of vintage retro number. Beckie Moonie gave a great half hour set with a stunning repertoire of songs. Mr Dickie Bows gave an hours slot of dancing in the afternoon including a lesson in stroll for many in the large audience. The afternoon was wound up with performances from Eva Tobin and Miles Hobbs & Libby Holcomb.
