Swing Jive – A new you for the summer
Swing Jive to get fit for the summer. Many people decide that the gym is not the place they want to keep fit – going to the gym can be a bit isolating and for some a bit mundane. Dancing is a great way to keep fit and also to meet other people. We have a diverse group of people coming to our classes. Many people have also found a new social life within the Swing Jive social scene and have now found that dancing is getting them out of the house most weekends.
Variety is the spice of life
We teach a wide variety at our classes, predominately Swing Jive on a Monday in Rochford and Wednesday in Southend. We do however try to add a mix of fun and group community spirit into the classes. Our community dances taught by Steve and Chris Brown are always looked forward to and the end of the evening, it just finishes off the evening on a community high.
Class run throughout the whole year, however the Swing Jive class in Rochford does not run on Bank Holidays, the Wednesday class run progressively through the year. We also run a high energy almost aerobic Rock n Roll Class on a Thursday at the Rawreth Village Hall see details of our jive classes in Essex on our website.
Dancing on a regular basis can improve your general health and improve your cardiovascular, lower your blood pressure and strengthen your bones. Dancing also burns calories and can help you lose weight. So come along and Swing Jive with us it is a great way to get fit.
